Course Introduction
The CompTIA Server+ certification is recognized by the industry to prove competency in server support. Upon completion of this course, the student will gain knowledge and skills necessary to build, maintain, troubleshoot and support server hardware and software technologies. The student will learn to identify environmental issues, understand and comply with disaster recovery and physical / software security procedures, be familiar with industry terminology and concepts, and understand server roles / specializations and interaction within the overall computing environment. This class combines lectures, exercises, labs and module reviews within an online environment, combined with a corresponding student manual. The manual acts as a learning resource during class, as well as serving as a valuable resource when the student returns to the office or home.
Course Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course. However, CompTIA A+ is recommended.
Course Notes
Course manual is provided for on-going reference. There is a final exam upon completion of the course. Participants who receive 75% or higher on their exam will receive a certificate.
